沙洲

早在南北朝时期，为四面环水的沙洲滩，由长

汇流沙淤积而成，，后逐渐与岸相连，明永乐年间，姶建圩堤，统称沙洲圩。范围大致南至大胜关，西至长江夹江，东至南河，北至水西门大街一帶，古白醫洲就在此处。这里河网密布，水质清纯，据《上江两县志》记载：“沙洲圩地洪宜稻”。著名的“金陵水八鲜”（茭白、莲藕、水芹、芡实、茨

菰、荸荠、菱儿菜和红菱）就盛产于此。1983年

设沙洲乡，2000年改置沙洲镇，2002年改置沙洲街道划人建邺区。经过快速发展已成为政务中心、科创中心和企业总部聚集地，是南京展示现代化国际性城市中心的重要窗日。

Shazhou was originally a sandbar surrounded by waters during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It was formed through the accumulation of quicksand of the Yangtze River and was later connected to the riverbank. An embankment was constructed in this area and named Shazhouwei during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The geographical scope of Shazhouwei roughly extends to Dashengguan in the south, to the branching channel of the Yangtze River in the west, to the Nanhe River in the east, and to the area around Shuiximen Street in the north. That was the location of the former Bailu Island. It has a vast network of rivers with excellent water. According to the Records of Jiangning and Shangyuan during Tongzhi Reign, the Shazhouwei area has fertile land suitable for rice cultivation. It is rich in the “famous eight aquatic plants in Jining”, namely zizania aquatica, lotus root, water celery, Gorgon Fruit, arrowhead, water chestnut, wild zizania, and red caltrop. Shazhou Township was established in 1983 and was renamed Shazhou Town in 2000. It was renamed Shazhou Subdistrict and merged into Jianye District in Nanjing in 2002. After rapid development, it has emerged as a government affairs center, a science and technology innovation center, and a hub for corporate headquarters, as well as a key showcase for Nanjing’s image as a modern international city.
